Pilates, a series of controlled exercises that engage the mind and transform the body, is recognised all around the world for its life-changing benefits. The classical method, founded by Joseph Pilates, helps to correct posture, lengthen and tone muscles, build core strength, alleviate stress, and promote calm and can have a positive knock-on effect in many other areas of your life.

We have two state-of-the-art Pilates studios in Dubai led by our head instructor Walid Tebarki where we host small classical & STOTT Pilates mat classes as well as equipment classes. Classes are open to both genders, but we also offer ladies-only and private one-to-one sessions.

We pride ourselves on being the second Pilates studio to open in the UAE, the longest standing since 2008, and the first to be solely owned and founded by an Emirati woman.

Reformer Pilates

Using a Pilates reformer machine – a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it – a Pilates reformer class sees you using your core to move your body weight with the reformer’s spring-loaded carriage. This challenging and addictive class helps you to improve balance and coordination. It also creates a unique strength and stretch effect on the entire body, which helps to achieve the long and lean look and or recover from a training method that exhausts isolated muscle groups. Mat Pilates

Pilates mat classes are performed on a floor mat and help you to improve your core control, strength, balance, and standing alignment. This addictive class features controlled exercises, which are performed in various positions – seated, lying down, on your side, and your front. Various tools like straps, poles, bands, balls, and magic circles are used to help you get into positions or challenge your performance.

Circuit Classes

Our Pilates circuit classes are a fusion of the different types of Pilates classes offered at The Hundred Wellness Centre in just one high-energy session. They are usually a combination of mat, chair, reformer, and pole exercises and utilize the best Pilates tools like circles, balls, bands, and foam rollers. This is a fun and challenging class that is perfectly designed to explore the main Pilates principles and fundamentals in one session.

How do I know which Pilates class to sign up for?

If you have never tried Pilates before, we recommend you book an assessment or a private introductory session before deciding which type of Pilates class in Dubai will be best suited to you. Even if you’re a regular we recommend starting with a private pilates session in Dubai so our instructor can help you focus and provide helpful, safe ways to practice going forward.

Beginner Level - Pilates Dubai

This level is for those who are new to Pilates or for those who may have an injury and need to take it a little slower. In this class you will learn the exercises that create a foundation to enable safe movement and correct alignment. This class is a prerequisite for the higher level classes listed below.

Beginner/Intermediate Level - Pilates in Dubai

You will be challenged with a faster pace and new exercises, challenging the mind body connection. It will increase endurance and improve neuromuscular control and coordination. You will learn to transition quickly between exercises to create a more efficient workout.

Please note: Instructor evaluation is required to participate in this class of best pilates Dubai for beginners.

Intermediate Level - Pilates Dubai

This level builds on what you have learnt, in a way that’s more challenging and at a fast pace. You will need more strength, stamina, and coordination. Generally we will focus more on exercises that target abdominal strength whilst stretching the back, sides, front body, and hamstrings.

Advanced Level - Pilates Dubai

This Pilates advanced level classes in Dubai is for experienced students, with a fully choreographed repertoire at a faster pace. At this level each exercise will challenge you differently to develop core strength, tone, and definition. This level mainly pushes you to challenge your control and stability while utilising the key Pilates principles.

Studying and teaching the Joseph Pilates Contemporary Method since 2014, Elena has recently honed her focus to specialize in the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®. Her expertise allows her to offer support to a wide range of clients, including senior citizens, pre- and post-natal parents, and injury rehabilitation.
