Walid is The Hundred Wellness Centre’s head Pilates and Yoga Teacher in Dubai, whose mantra is that fitness is not just about building muscle, but the entire mind, body, and spirit.
Having started his career as a professional dancer and a member of France’s national Sanda team, Walid holds a trophy cabinet’s worth of qualifications in Pilates, Yoga, and as a health coach from some of the world’s most prestigious institutions including the celebrated Boulder Colorado Pilates Center, CREPS de Montry in France, and the village of Arambol in Goa, India. On top of his Ashtanga Yoga training, he has been teaching Pilates since 2003 alongside some of the world’s most celebrated instructors, is also trained to teach Ashtanga Yoga as well as rehabilitation and re-education for conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.
The cherry on top of his highly-qualified cake is his experience and certifications as a MATRIX therapist and neurolinguistic programming practitioner; delivering on his profound beliefs that health coaches should be equally focused on the physical, mental, and spiritual state of their clients. His practice layers the coordination, precision, and strengthening tenets of Pilates with the mindful, meditative elements of yoga to give his students enhanced physical awareness and confidence, achieving harmony between mind and body.
