Asma Hilal Lootah – Founder & Owner of The Hundred Pilates Studio
It has always been Asma’s dream to be a business owner, but after returning to her native UAE, from the US, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Asma worked at Etisalat and, as a keen sports enthusiast, she spent her free time practising Pilates. Five years later, and with obesity on the rise in the UAE, Asma wanted to use her knowledge and business mind to make a positive change and encourage people to get fit through Pilates. After overcoming many obstacles, Asma set up The Hundred Pilates Studio in Dubai Healthcare City, believing anything can be done with determination. “London 2012 has made me ask: ‘How come we have the tallest building in the world and yet we don’t have a gold medalist?’ I believe this can be achieved by continuous education, awareness and fitness initiatives targeting the local market,” explains Asma.
